Shurabad project   

“Caspian Technology” Company having established firstly in Azerbaijan the measurement of wind potential at height of 63 meters, the first wind park of 1,7 MW with two V52 wind turbines and the first renewable energy training center expanding its activity with the construction of large-scale wind park of 48 MW became great gren energy producer in Azerbaijan and nearby regions. Following Pilot Project, Shurabad Project located in 55th km of Baku-Guba highway, consists of 16 Vestas V90 wind power plants each of 3 MW. Engineering-construction works are being performed by local population of Shurabad and additional labor force. Furthermore, steel frameworks for foundation sections were performed by local factories. Annual average 201 mln. KW/h of electricity production is expected, after accomplishment of the Shurabad Project. Consequently, 57 mln m3 natural gas will be saved.
